Let’s face it – giving feedback is the last thing we want to do as supervisors. Providing performance feedback to our employees is awkward at best and truly difficult at its worst. As we debunk the reasons why we avoid feedback we can better understand the true purpose of engaging in these types of discussions with our teams which is to not only engage and motivate our staff, but to ensure that we’re all working towards the same objectives.
In this webinar, we will discuss the importance of giving feedback and how we can use these opportunities to clarify expectations both individually and as a team. As part of our discussion, we will review the ways in which we can assess the individual performance of our staff members to ensure that both external constraints and individual training needs are met. We will also discuss the role of trust as a foundational piece of the feedback cycle. When we keep our eyes on the goal of helping our team grow and develop, feedback no longer becomes something to be feared, but instead is an engaging and constructive two-way dialogue.
