Part 1: Harassment, Discrimination, & Retaliation Prevention for Supervisors
This training is part of the three-part series “A Supervisor’s Roadmap to Employment Law Essentials” presented by Summit Law Group.
At the end of the series, managers and supervisors will have an understanding of key employment laws, comprehension of their roles and responsibilities, be able to identify and respond to red flags, and develop collaboration with HR and management to successfully deal with issues early and effectively. Participants are strongly encouraged to locate and review their organization’s personnel policies and labor contracts as part of this training series.
Part 1 will focus on the laws prohibiting discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Topics will include:
- An overview of discrimination laws.
- A supervisor’s obligation to identify and address potential harassment.
- An overview of disability discrimination and accommodation.
- Supervisor behaviors that can increase an employer’s exposure to these claims, as well as management practices that can help to reduce risk.
- Key steps for collaborating with HR and knowing what resources are available to you.
Registration:
- Advance registration is required to participate
- Separate registration is required for each session
- Registration closes on January 9, 2025
- Registration fee – No charge for Enduris members
- Participation is recommended for all four parts
Cancellation:
Cancellation is required before the training. A no-show fee of $50 will be billed if cancellation is not received at least 2 days before each session.
