Part 2: An Overview of Leave Laws and Guidance on Reasonable Accommodation
This training is part of the three-part series “A Supervisor’s Roadmap to Employment Law Essentials” presented by Summit Law Group.
At the end of the series, managers and supervisors will have an understanding of key employment laws, comprehension of their roles and responsibilities, be able to identify and respond to red flags, and develop collaboration with HR and management to successfully deal with issues early and effectively. Participants are strongly encouraged to locate and review their organization’s personnel policies and labor contracts as part of this training series.
Part 2 will focus on the federal and state laws addressing protected leave entitlements. This webinar will provide an overview of:
- The federal Family and Medical Leave Act.
- Leave as a reasonable accommodation of a disability.
- Washington State Paid Sick Leave and Paid Family Medical Leave.
- The range of other leave entitlements available to employees under state and federal laws.
- How to respond to ADA and reasonable accommodation requests.
- Key steps for collaborating with HR and knowing what resources are available to you.
Registration:
- Advance registration is required to participate
- Separate registration is required for each session
- Registration closes on January 16, 2025
- Registration fee – No charge for Enduris members
- Participation is recommended for all four parts
Cancellation:
Cancellation is required before the training. A no-show fee of $50 will be billed if cancellation is not received at least 2 days before each session.
