This training is geared towards new supervisors/managers or seasoned supervisors/managers who would like a refresher.
Building Supervisory Skills 101: Connie Poulsen, Management Training & Consulting
This one day workshop is designed to provide new supervisors with the skills and knowledge to be successful in their first management assignment. The session provides real-world, hands-on examples of situations that new supervisors will face, and the solutions to deal with them.
Making the transition from peer to supervisor/manager: This section helps participants increase their leadership capabilities by identifying key behavioral traits necessary to lead. It covers critical leadership qualities, the transition from peer to leader and provides tools for the leader to manage themselves in order to lead others.
Effective Communication: The ability to communicate effectively is a critical skill for leaders at all levels. Participants will learn about various communication styles, explore non-verbal communication as well as electronic communication.
Successful Delegation: This section teaches supervisors the delegation process, including how to set measurable objectives, assess risks, select the right performer and communicate the assignment effectively.
Cancellation is required prior to the training date. No-shows will be billed.
