Approaching Supervisory Situations with Confidence - Sound Employment Solutions

This scenario-based webinar is designed for new supervisors, supervisors who would like a refresher, leads, and aspiring supervisors to help them become comfortable dealing with some of the less frequent but risky supervisory issues that may arise, as well as some of the more frequently occurring but challenging supervisory issues. Participants will work through real-life scenarios in groups and then hear about best practices from the instructor. The webinar will provide tips regarding giving feedback specific to behavioral issues, as well as providing guidance regarding harassment, discrimination, and retaliation issues. The second webinar will cover other employee risk issues such as intoxication, workplace violence, ethics, disability accommodation, and labor relations. At the end of the two webinar, participants will have gained knowledge regarding:

  • How to recognize when an employee issue presents risk for the supervisor and/or organization
  • What to say and not say when confronted with these challenging supervisory issues
  • How to minimize potential risk in advance
  • What resources may be available to supervisors when facing these various situations
